This year's game was another BIG success. The North beat the South, 7-3 after losing the previous four years. Read the San Jose Mercury News article and the SF Chronicle article about the game. Check out the Media page for other articles of the game.

Also, Game Day Photos are available. The official photos are thanks to our game photographer, Jerry Costanzo of Open Shutter. You want to see a movie of the Red Bull Parachuters?

The Almaden Valley Rotary Club was proud to present the Annual Charlie Wedemeyer High School All-Star Football Game, the Silicon Valley Youth Classic. This year was our 32nd year of honoring graduating senior high school football players. The game was played at 7:30 pm Wednesday, July 19th, 2006 at San Jose City College.

Congratulations to the Head Football COACHES, Jason Tenner of Leland High School for the South; and Carlos Boles of Prospect High School for the North. The two coaches have selected the players for their respective team. The Player Rosters are now available.

Check out the Rosters of past years. The more recent rosters have a link to each player's biographical information.

The Banquet for the players and coaches was held on Monday, May 15, 2006. The featured speaker was Thomas Bowen, the new Director of Athletics at San Jose State University. We had a great turnout of the San Francisco Gold Rush and high school cheerleaders this year. We are continually looking for commitments from high school cheerleading groups in the game. Check out the cheerleader information.

Thanks to all the SPONSORS of the past. We will always be looking for a few large sponsors in the future. We have been blessed with many smaller sponsors that have made this game possible and allowed us to donate to many charities over the past years.
