I live with my mom and dad in San Jose. I have an older brother who is graduating from Stanford and is going on to get his masters at Stanford in electrical engineering. He was valedictorian at Bellarmine.

As a high school football player I have learned that dedication and discipline are incredibly important in order to be successful. I learned to be a leader and how to form a brotherhood with my teammates. I was taught how to learn, as well as how to teach.

There have been many different memories that have been meaningful as a player at Bellarmine. I would say the greatest moment came in my junior year when we beat Skyline of Oakland. Skyline had been running on a twenty-two game win streak and ranked number two in the Bay Area behind De La Salle. The reason it meant so much is because everyone told us that we were going to get killed and that there was no way we were going to win. It is the greatest feeling in the world to do something that people say cannot be done.

I liked all my coaches, but my favorite coach is Coach Amarillas, our defensive coordinator, line, and strength coach. For two years he has been at school every morning year round, in the weight room or out on the track. Even if only one or two people show up for optional workouts, the coach is there. He demonstrates a care for us as players and people. He always offers himself, if you are having trouble with football or outside of football, by talking to you about it. He is the type of person whose presence alone makes you want to be the best person you can be. I respect him greatly and I don't think I'll ever be able to thank him enough for all he has done for me.

My plans for the future as of now are to go to U.C. Davis next year. After college I have not yet determined what I will do.
